OCR: MAHA RL-112 & RL-412 MOD SHEET The software mod for RL-112 and the Ri-412 are currently not enabled. To enable the software mod opening the radio is required. Five screws need to be removed to open the radio, three on the back and two on the battery slide plate on the bottom. When open locate the CTCSS board sticky taped to the main circuit. Most likely the CTCSS will be covering the pads that you will be looking for, if needed move the board and the tape to make access to JP11 and JP12. If JP11 is not bridged (soldered together) do so. Next, arange the four Jumpers from left to right: Open Closed Closed Open It is recommended to put electrical tape around the PL board. Reassemble the radio, and attach the battery and antenna. RESET Radio reset by shorting these two contacts with a screwdriver, while Pressing (F) function + Pwr (volume knob). This will reset the unit so the modification can be complete.
